Maleic anhydride is an important organic-chemical raw materical used mainly for synthesizing unsaturated resins, coatings, pharmaceutics, pesticides, lubricating-oil additives, foodstuff additives,etc.
Character
Maleic anhydride is white needle-like or flaky crystalline with irritant odour and sour, inflammable. Can be easy dissolved in water to form maleic acid . Specific density is 1.480,melting poit 52.85oC,boiling point 202oC.
